New Fortnite Sprites This Week (Latest)

No new Sprite species this week — instead, Sprite Spree Week (Aug 14–20) hands out guaranteed Sprites via free quests: Peeky Peely, John Wick, Zero Point and Gem Zero Point. The August 15 'Unstable' event replaced the Zero Point with a Season 4-teasing 'Glitch Zone' cartridge, and daily Power Hours boost Galaxy (16th), Holo (17th), Cube (18th) and Gem (19th) variants until Season 3 ends August 19, 2026.
Fortnite's Sprite line-up changes most weeks — and while no new species are arriving in this one, it's anything but quiet: Sprite Spree Week is giving away four Sprites through free quests, including the two summon-only Mythics, and the August 15 'Unstable' story moment just swapped the Zero Point for a giant game cartridge teasing Season 4. With Chapter 7 Season 3 'Runners' ending August 19, this is the busiest collecting week of the season.
Sprite Spree Week (Aug 14–20): free guaranteed Sprites
Four quests, no pass required: reach the top 10 for Peeky Peely, get 30 eliminations for John Wick, extract 20 Sprites for Zero Point, and extract 30 for the Gem Zero Point. On top: 2x Sprite XP (4x with a campfire), free Sprite re-summons, and a daily Lucky Locator that marks a chest guaranteed to hold a Sprite you don't own. Each remaining day also runs an all-day Power Hour — Galaxy Aug 16, Holo Aug 17, Cube Aug 18, Gem Aug 19. Full breakdown in our Sprite Spree Week guide.
August 15: Unstable fired — the Zero Point is now the Glitch Zone
The 'Unstable' story moment ran at 2 PM ET on August 15: the hacker Geno hijacked the Zero Point Stabilizer, and the Zero Point was replaced by a giant game cartridge showing Sonic, Dr. Eggman, Pac-Man, Mega Man and Tetris — the 'Glitch Zone', on the map until season's end. The second Mythic Sprite Hours window follows 9–11 PM ET, with boosted Mythic rates and an extra boost for base Grim and Zero Point. Details in our Mythic Sprite Hours guide.
This week: the final stretch (Aug 14–19)
Every hour left is best spent closing gaps in your Runners collection before it retires into the Sprite Garden. Our Season 3 last-chance checklist walks the priority order; the short version: mastery first, Sprite Spree quests second, each day's Power Hour variants third — and spend your Dust, don't hoard it.
Still the newest: Gem Sprites (Aug 6)
The August 6 New Sprite Day turned on eight Gem variants — Gem Water, Earth and Aura (free world spawns), Gem Duck (Mogul Vault), and Gem Demon, Punk, Zero Point and Grim (rare chest drops) — alongside the Gem Llama that arrived early with v41.30. Every Gem reduces fall damage by 30% and stacks with the base Sprite's own ability. See our full Gem Sprites guide for how to get each one.
Newest Sprite families
Peeky Peely and Lootin' Llama are the newest Legendaries, the Quack Zero Point is the season's rarest Mastery reward, and the Ironmouse Sprite (Mythic) is now fully live — it released August 4 at 9 PM ET after its early v41.30 appearance was pulled. We re-verify the roster against the live game data every patch.
How to close out the season fast
- Work the Sprite Spree quests every match — 30 eliminations and 30 extractions cover John Wick, Zero Point and Gem Zero Point for free.
- Grab the three free Gem world spawns — Gem Water (rivers/beaches), Gem Earth (forests), Gem Aura (mountains) — and use each daily Lucky Locator.
- Hunt the Ironmouse Sprite in Relic Chests (2.14%) or summon it for 6,750 Dust — it's Base-only, so one extraction finishes the family.
- Time variant hunting to the Power Hours: Galaxy Aug 16, Holo Aug 17, Cube Aug 18, Gem Aug 19.
- Spend every point of Sprite Dust before August 19 — Epic confirmed Dust and Gizmos reset when the season ends.
Coming next: Season 4 'Override' (Aug 20)
Chapter 7 Season 3 'Runners' ends August 19, and Epic has confirmed Sprites continue into Chapter 7 Season 4 'Override' on August 20, 2026 — bringing a new generation of Sprites, the new Sprite Garden, and five community-designed Design-a-Sprite winners mid-season. Read our Sprite Garden & Season 4 guide so you know what carries over before the season flips.
