How to Get the Fire Sprite in Fortnite

The Fire Sprite punishes aggression, creating a fiery burst once you deal enough damage to an enemy. It's a free world spawn. Once you've collected it once, you can summon the Fire Sprite again for 100 Sprite Dust — usually faster than fishing for it in chests.

Where to find the Fire Sprite

The Fire Sprite is one of the five Rare world-spawn Sprites — it doesn't drop from chests. Instead it roams the map: located near urban areas. Explore that area and grab it when it appears, or skip the hunt entirely and summon it. The Fire also has a Quack variant, which is a Sprite Mastery reward rather than a chest drop.

Verdict: A fun, free Rare for close-range players. The damage threshold drops as it levels, so master it.

Fastest way to get it

Because it's a world spawn, the fastest route is often to summon it for 100 Sprite Dust rather than hunting the map. Farm Sprite Dust by extracting duplicates (a Gummy variant adds +10% Dust per extraction).

When is the Fire actually worth using?

Push-heavy, close-quarters brawlers get the most from Fire. Land enough damage and it answers with a burst; the trigger drops from 150 down to 50 damage as you level, so a maxed Fire punishes almost every committed fight. It thrives in urban builds and tight rotations where enemies are close and trades happen fast. Shelve it if you play a passive, long-range game, because you have to actually connect damage to see the payoff, and a sniper picking at range rarely trips the threshold often enough to matter.

Loadout & synergy

Shotguns and SMGs are the natural fit, anything that dumps damage in a hurry to trip the burst. It slots into aggressive first-swing loadouts and pairs beautifully with the Cube variant's Storm Overdrive when you're the one forcing late fights. Compared to Water, its defensive Rare cousin, Fire is the coin's other face: offence over sustain. Squad play suits it since you're often the entry fragger; solo works too if you're confident taking duels. The lower the damage threshold at Max, the more matches it earns a slot.

Is it worth chasing for your collection?

Summonable for 100 Dust or found around urban POIs, Fire is easy to obtain and pleasant to grind. The Holofoil at 0.53% hands your squad a 5% rare-variant find bump, which quietly pays off over a session, while the Cube at 0.21% is the scarcer chase. Quack sits at 45 masteries, the highest of the world-spawn Rares. It's a low-prestige trade piece but a high-usefulness keeper. If you only extract one aggressive Rare early, Fire's the sensible pick over its water-bound sibling.
